Joint webinar with NOTIONES & ALLIES projects successfully completed
On Friday May 19th, the popAI project successfully co-organised along with NOTIONES and ALLIES projects the webinar DataAnalytics and AI bias in LEAs decision-making.
Dr Dimitris Kyriazanos of NCSR Demokritos, coordinator of popAI project, welcomed participants and presented popAI’s ecosystem and Ethics Toolbox and Dr. Pinelopi Troullinou of partner Trilateral Research talked about Policy labs on AI in the security sector.
The webinar included thorough presentations, best practices, as well as the experiences of European law enforcement agencies (LEAs) on the applications of AI and algorithmic tools for policing.
Moreover, the multifaceted webinar focused on existing challenges and gaps that emerge in policing through AI and discussed the ways that law enforcement agencies can minimize AI bias.
